Description

Each is between 1 in-2 in diameter and between 0.6-3.5 oz. These Rose Rocks have defined petals to mimic a red rose flower. Born in Magma collecst each of these rock rocks themselves by hand in Norman, Oklahoma. These are natural stones that vary in the number of blades, overall shape (round vs disk), and have some slight color variations.

Oklahoma designated rose rock (barite rose) as the official state rock in 1968. Rose rocks are found in only a few rare places around the globe.

Each "petal" of disc-shaped barite, or baryte (BaSO4) crystals, contains angular, medium quartz (SiO2) sand derived from the geologic formation known as the Garber Sandstone. Small quantities of hematite (Fe2O3) provide the reddish hue. Roses can form individually or pairs or large clusters.

Sold individually.  Price is for a singular rock.
